Anthony Lakes is a climbing area in northeast Oregon, set within the Whitman Ranger District of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area is centered around several lakes, with the Anthony Lakes Tent Campground about a mile away. The climbing here is alpine, with six routes that run from about 5.6 to 5.8 on the YDS scale. Among them are Gardener's Delight (5.6), Hoffer Lake Slabs (5.6) and Ramp Route (5.7). The Slab Route was first climbed in 1971 by John McCormick, Dick Pooley and Dave Nelson, and Cross Roads (5.8) was done by Allen Sanderson in 1981. Several trails start close by, including Crawfish Basin Trail and Lakes Lookout Trail, both about half a mile away. Anthony Lake Guard Station and Anthony Lake offer camping about a mile out.
