Jane's Buttress is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Medford Butte Falls Field Office in southern Oregon. The land is managed by the BLM, and the area sits among several other climbing spots, which makes it easy to pair with other routes in the same stretch of rock. Late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Lost Creek Dam weather station, about 11 miles away, show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 84°F, while July and August average about 90°F. That station sits roughly 1,600 feet lower than the buttress, so temperatures up high run cooler. The Cathedral, Rainy Day Cave and Dominator Wall all lie about 0.1 mile away, so climbers can move between them easily. For time on the water, Evans Creek is about 4.4 miles off.
