Shortcut is a short, easy mountain biking route in Oregon, about 1.1 miles from the town of Alder. The out-and-back trip covers roughly 0.44 miles, with a total climb of 136 feet from a low point of 1,155 feet to a high of 1,283 feet. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Corvallis show July and August highs around 82 to 83°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on most days. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Supertree and Panama Canal are both mountain biking routes within a mile.
