Safari Town Surf has operated in Lincoln City since 1989 as a locally owned, family-operated business offering guided kayak tours and surfing lessons on the Oregon Coast. The shop runs three primary kayak tours: the Salmon River Estuary (their most popular offering with wildlife including harbor seals, sea lions, river otters, bald eagles, and shorebirds), Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge, and Devils Lake year-round subject to weather and tide conditions. All kayak tours require a two-person minimum and welcome beginners and children ages 5 and up.
Safari Town offers both group and private surfing lessons with experienced instructors covering fundamentals, ocean safety, and proper technique, with surfboard and wetsuit rental included. Group lessons accommodate 2–5 people for 2 hours; private instruction is available for 1–5 people per instructor. The shop's guides are trained and certified in First Aid & CPR, registered with the Oregon State Marine Board, and experienced in ocean conditions, tides, and currents.
