Soda Springs is a short, easy hike in the Diamond Lake Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 0.2 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 81 feet from a low point of 1,741 feet to a high of 1,848 feet. It sits within the North Umpqua Trail corridor, and the Soda Springs Trailhead (North Umpqua Trail) is the starting point. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Toketee Falls weather station show July and August highs around 85 to 86°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the low 40s and frequent rain. The North Umpqua Trail: Deer Leap lies just 0.1 mile away, and Bradley is about half a mile off. Boulder Flat Campground and the Boulder Creek hike are both roughly 1.3 miles away.
