Shirley Lake is a 2.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness, part of the Detroit Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon. The trail climbs from about 5,568 feet to 6,274 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,677 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land. The route is natural-surfaced and allows horses, but not bikes. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.34 miles in, with a grade of 31 percent. The trip takes about 1.5 hours and is open year-round. Nearby, Brush Creek and the Brush Creek Trail are both under a mile away, and Table Lake Trail #4003 is about 1.1 miles off. For an overnight stay, Sheep Springs Horse Camp sits about 6 miles away.
