Marion Lake is a short, easy hike in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness, part of the Detroit Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon. The trail is about a mile long and is an out-and-back route, with the high point at 4,288 feet and the low at 4,161 feet. The climb is gentle, with a total gain of about 368 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.29 miles in. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Santiam Junction show July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 42°F, while winter highs there stay in the upper 30s. The trail is on natural surface and is open year-round. Horses are allowed. The Marion Lake Outlet hike starts about 0.3 miles away, and Minto Pass and Marion Lake Trail 3436 are each about half a mile off. For an overnight stay, Marion Forks Campground is about 4.8 miles away.
