Salt Creek Falls is a short, easy hike in the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon, about half a mile long and roughly 100 feet of elevation gain. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a loop with a natural surface. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Odell Lake show July and August highs around 73 to 74°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days. Diamond Creek Falls is just 0.2 miles away, and the Diamond Creek Falls Trail #3598 is close by as well. For paddling, Salt Creek is about a mile off, and Gold Lake Campground is roughly 3.4 miles away.
