Rock Creek 907 is an easy out-and-back hike in Oregon's Mt. Hood National Forest, within the Barlow Ranger District. The trail is about 2.4 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 536 feet, and it starts at roughly 4,432 feet, reaching a high point of about 4,897 feet. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.18 miles from the start, where the grade reaches 14 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Government Camp show July and August highs around 69 to 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. That station sits nearly 900 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the hike run cooler. The trip takes about an hour. The Rock Creek 903 and Rock Creek 905 hikes are both within a mile. Boulder Lake campground is about 2.8 miles away, and the White River offers canoeing about 4.6 miles off.
