Road 19 Trail is an easy, short out-and-back hike in Oregon's Mt. Hood National Forest, within the Zigzag Ranger District. The route is about 1.5 miles long and gains roughly 84 feet, which makes it a gentle walk rather than a climb. The Forest Service manages the land. The trail starts at about 1,536 feet and reaches a high point of about 1,611 feet. Its natural surface and low elevation change suit an easy outing, and the Zigzag Mountain hike sits just 0.1 mile away, so it pairs easily with a longer trip. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Portland put July and August highs in the upper 70s, with only five or six wet days a month, while winter months see highs in the low 40s and rain on most days. Nearby, Hunchback Trail #793 is about 0.6 mile away, and Hunchback Wall offers climbing about 1.2 miles off. Tollgate Campground is about 2 miles away, and Clear Creek is about 3.4 miles away for paddling.
