Little Boulder is an easy hike in the Barlow Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is a short, out-and-back route of about a mile, with a total climb of 267 feet from the start elevation of 4,631 feet to a high point of 4,661 feet. The surface is natural. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Government Camp show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months see highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. Boulder Lake campground and the Boulder Lake Shore hike both sit within about half a mile. Forest Creek is about a mile away, and Bonney Meadows campground is about 1.5 miles off.
