James Creek is a 6.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Three Sisters Wilderness, part of the McKenzie River Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is rated hard. The route starts at about 6,129 feet and reaches a high point of 6,139 feet, with a total climb of 1,153 feet and a steepest stretch of about 11% at the 2-mile mark. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows horses, but bikes are not permitted. Separation Meadow lies just 0.1 mile away, and Eileen Lake and Linton Meadows are both within about 2 miles. For an overnight stay, Alder Springs Campground is roughly 5.7 miles off.
