Fish Hook Interpretive is a 3-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon's Wild Rivers Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests, managed by the Forest Service. The trail gains about 547 feet one way, with a total of roughly 1,420 feet over the round trip, and the climb is steady, with the steepest stretch at about 1.2 miles in, where the grade reaches 23%. The high point is around 4,928 feet, and the low point is about 4,409 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Sexton Summit show July and August highs around 77°F with only about two wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 40s and rain on roughly half the days. The trail is open from June 1 to October 31, and the estimated time for the trip is about 1.5 hours. Bikes and horses are both allowed on the natural-surface trail. It is not accessible. Grassy Flats campground sits about 0.8 miles away, and the West Fork Indigo Creek and Indigo Creek paddling spots are within about 3.5 miles. Hardscrabble is a hike about 3.6 miles off.
