Eightmile Loop is a 5.2-mile moderate hike in the Barlow Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back with a total climb of about 1,155 feet, and the steepest stretch comes early, around 0.35 miles from the start, where the grade reaches about 21%. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. Eightmile Campground sits just 0.1 mile from the trail, and Pebble Ford Campground is about 0.6 mile away. The Eightmile Interpretive hike is 0.7 mile off, and climbers can find Campfire boulders about 1.3 miles away.
