Discovery OHV is a point-to-point hike in the High Cascades Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in southern Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The route is about 46 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 5,170 feet, and it is rated expert. The trail starts at about 5,400 feet and reaches a high point of 6,129 feet, with a total descent of about 3,200 feet along the way. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Crater Lake show July and August highs around 69°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 30s and rain on 17 or 18 days. Bikes and horses are both allowed on the route. Huckleberry City Campground sits just 0.4 miles away, and Farewell Bend Campground is about 5 miles off. The Rocktop Snomo Trail and the Pipeline Snomo Trail are both within about 3.5 miles.
