Diamond Peak Trail #3699 is an expert-level out-and-back hike in the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail starts at about 5,514 feet and climbs to a high point of 5,931 feet, with a total round-trip elevation gain of about 4,195 feet. The one-way distance is roughly 10 miles, and the steepest stretch comes around mile 6.4, where the grade reaches about 21%. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Odell Lake show July and August highs in the low 70s °F with only about three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days. Summit Lake campground sits about a mile away, and Rockpile and Marie Lake are both within about two miles. The Middle Fork Willamette River, about 4.6 miles off, offers canoeing.
