Da-Ku-Be-Te-De is an out-and-back hike of about 8.3 miles in the Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in southwest Oregon. The trail rises from a low point of about 1,984 feet to a high of about 2,087 feet, with an elevation gain of about 239 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 1.6 miles in, where the grade reaches about 15 percent. The route is rated hard, and it is not an accessible trail. Bikes and horses are both allowed, and the surface is natural. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year-round. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Ruch, Oregon, run to highs around 75°F in May and 72°F in October, while July and August average highs in the low 90s. Watkins Campground sits just 0.1 mile away, and the Payette hike is about 0.6 mile off. Tipsu Tyee Campground and the Harr Ridge hike are both within about 2 miles.
