Buckhead Nature Trail is a short, easy loop in the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about a mile long, with a total elevation gain of just a few feet, and it runs on paved surface. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Oakridge Fish Hatchery weather station show July and August highs around 80°F, with only two or three wet days a month. Winter is much wetter, with 16 or more wet days a month from December through March. The trail is closed to bikes and horses. Alpine Trail and Deception Butte are both within about a mile and a half, and Black Canyon Campground and Picnic is about 3 miles away.
