Bruno Meadows is a 3-mile out-and-back hike in the Detroit Ranger District of Oregon's Willamette National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 4,300 feet to a high point of 5,070 feet, with a total elevation gain of 752 feet. It is a moderate route, and the natural-surface trail is open from June through October. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Santiam Junction, which sits about 1,300 feet lower, show July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 42°F. Winter is cold, with January highs around 38°F and lows near 24°F. The trail is open from June 1 to October 31, and it is open to bikes. Several other destinations lie within a few miles, including the Bugaboo Ridge and Bachelor Mountain hikes, the Riverside Campground, and the Coffin Lookout hike.
