Boundary Springs is an easy out-and-back hike on natural-surface trail in the High Cascades Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in Oregon, about 2 miles long with a total climb of 307 feet. The trail starts at roughly 5,099 feet and reaches a high point of about 5,179 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 0.95 miles in. Horses and bikes are both allowed, and the trail is not accessible. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. At a nearby weather station, typical averages run to highs around 69°F and lows near 41°F in July and August, with only about four wet days a month. That station sits well above the trail, so temperatures on the trail run a little warmer. The trail is open from June 15 to October 1, and the trip takes about an hour. The Southern Oregon Intertie Trail - Oregon is about half a mile away, and the Boundary Springs Trail is about 1.3 miles off. For camping, Broken Arrow Campground is about 5 miles away, and South Shore Hiker/Biker Camp is about 5.5 miles away.
