Adams Mountain Way is a 6.8-mile out-and-back hike in the Cottage Grove Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated hard, with a total elevation gain of 2,831 feet, and it reaches a high point of 4,177 feet. The route is natural-surface and allows horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.8 miles in, where the grade reaches 48 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at a similar elevation show July and August highs around 79°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter brings frequent snow and highs in the upper 30s. Lund Park Forest Camp and the Marten Flume hike both sit about 0.1 mile away, and Hobo campground is about half a mile off. Brice Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 0.8 mile away.
