Scott Creek Campground is a remote Forest Service site in southern Oregon, about 50 minutes southwest of Chemult and roughly 11 miles from the town of Kirk. It's a quiet, off-the-beaten-path spot with six campsites set among lodgepole, ponderosa pines and white firs. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, and there is one vault toilet and an information board. The Scott Creek flows through the north side of the campground, and small trout can be seen in the creek. There is no potable water, so visitors must bring their own supply. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 85°F with lows near 42°F, while winter brings highs in the upper 30s and regular snow days from December through February. The closest outing is Jackson Creek, less than a mile away. The Pinnacles Trail, Mount Scott Trail and Plaikni Falls Trail all lie within about 7 miles.
