Riverford Campground is a small, scenic Forest Service site along the Clackamas River, near its confluence with the Collowash River. It sits in a dense forest of Douglas fir and hemlocks within the Clackamas River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 78 to 79°F with only four or five wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 40s and rain on about 20 days. Vault toilets are the only facility. A fee is charged for stays. Raab and Riverside campgrounds are each about 0.7 miles away. The Alder Flat and Fish Creek Mountain hikes are about 3.3 miles off, and the Collawash River offers canoeing about 4.5 miles away.
