McCully Forks Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Whitman Ranger District of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in northeastern Oregon. It is a simple base for exploring the surrounding forest, with vault toilets as the only listed amenity. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 83°F with only four or five wet days a month, while winter highs stay in the low to mid 30s. Several other spots lie within a short drive. Cracker Creek, a canoeing route, is about 3 miles away, and the Pole Creek Ridge Trail is roughly 5 miles off. The Summit Lake Trail and the Antlers Guard Station Cabin are both within about 9 miles.
