Happy Camp is a Forest Service campground in the Paisley Ranger District of Oregon's Fremont-Winema National Forest, about an hour from Paisley. It sits along Dairy Creek, which flows through the campground and offers rainbow trout fishing. The site has nine camping sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. There is one vault toilet, and water is available at Clear Springs Forest Camp, about 1.5 miles away on Forest Service Road 047. No fees are required to stay here, and the Forest Service notes that there are no garbage receptacles, so visitors are asked to "pack it in, pack it out." Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Paisley show July highs around 85°F with lows near 49°F, while winter highs sit in the low 40s. Nearby options include Clear Spring campground, about 1.6 miles away, and Dairy Point Campground, about 2.2 miles away. Hikers can head to the Cache Cabin Trail, roughly 3.6 miles off, or the Dead Horse Rim Trail, about 5.5 miles away.
