Three Bears is a climbing area in North Carolina, about 3 miles from the town of Pinnacle. It sits among several other climbing areas, with Copper Top, Little Amphitheater and Foreign Trade Zone all about 0.1 mile away. The area is a cluster of sport routes, and the closest trails are Ledge Spring Trail and Pilot Knob Trail, both within half a mile. The climbing here is all sport, and the routes run from 5.5 up to 5.11c. The easiest are Goldilocks and Howdy Dudette at 5.5, and the hardest is Any Minor Dude at 5.11c. The median grade is 5.9+. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Rural Hall show October highs around 69°F with lows near 47°F, and April is similar at about 69°F by day and 45°F at night.
