The Brevard Fault is a climbing area in western North Carolina, about a mile from the community of Quail Ridge. It sits within a cluster of rock climbing spots, and the closest neighbors are Central Boulders, the Lakeview Area and Rumbling Bald, all roughly 0.1 mile away. Spring and fall bring the most comfortable weather. Typical averages from the Lake Lure 2 weather station, 2.5 miles away, show October highs around 72°F with lows near 47°F, while April runs similar at about 72°F by day and 44°F at night. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the fault, so temperatures up high run a bit cooler. Rumbling Bald Loop, a hike about 0.4 mile off, and Party Rock Trail, about 0.7 mile away, are the closest hiking options. Lake Lure, roughly 1.3 miles away, offers fishing, and the Broad River, about 3.7 miles out, is a canoeing spot.
