Tarzan Swing is a bouldering area in Harriman State Park in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of bouldering spots, with Welcome Boulders and Torch Boulder each about 0.1 mile away, and Oliphant Boulder at the same distance. The White Diamond Trail starts about 0.3 mile off, so it's easy to pair a bouldering session with a short walk. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes ranging from V0- to V3. The Tarzan route is the easiest at V0-, and Ape Index is the hardest at V3. The name Tarzan Swing is the area's own, and the Tarzan Swing Right and Tarzan Traverse Left routes are also listed. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 84°F. Beyond the boulders, the Ramapo River offers fishing about 4 miles away, and Monksville Reservoir is roughly 8 miles off.
