Nugget Knob is a climbing area in the Siamese Ponds Wilderness in New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits among several other climbing spots in the same stretch of the wilderness, making it an easy addition to a longer visit to the area's rock. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 71°F in June to about 75°F in July, with lows in the mid-50s. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the knob, so temperatures on the knob may run slightly cooler. Main Cliff and Shanty Cliff both lie about 0.1 mile away, and Shanty Sports Arena is about 0.2 mile off. For a change from the rock, the Oregon trail and Little Joe Pond trail are each about 1.5 miles away.
