Millbrook is a climbing area within the Mohonk Preserve in New York, managed by a non-governmental organization. It sits among a cluster of trails and climbing spots, so it works well as a base for a day of hiking and climbing in the preserve. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Mohonk Lake weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 73°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the preserve, so temperatures at higher elevations run cooler. The Coxing Trail starts just 0.2 miles away, and the Gertrude's Nose Trail and Millbrook Mountain Trail are each about a mile off. Climbers can also find the d. Harvest Moon to the End route roughly 1.9 miles away.
