The Playground is a climbing area in Minnewaska State Park Preserve in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of named climbing spots, with c. The Clamshell Wall and z.. Dickie Barre (upper PK cliff) each about 0.1 mile away. Late spring through early fall is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Mohonk Lake weather station show September highs around 73°F with lows near 56°F, while July runs warmer at about 83°F. Several other climbing areas and trails lie close by. High Peter's Kill Trail is about 0.3 mile away, and King's Lane is about 0.6 mile away. Old Minnewaska Trail and Millbrook Ridge Trail are each within about a mile.
