Woodlands Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route on the Town of Yorktown land in New York, about 0.15 miles from the town's center. The trail is an out-and-back that covers about 0.3 miles, with a total climb of 33 feet and a steepest grade of about 4% near the start. It's a flat, low-impact ride, and the high and low points of the route are only about 11 feet apart. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Shrub Oak show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 75°F, while July peaks near 84°F and January highs sit around 37°F. Several other trails start close by. Strang Trail and Parkway Trail are each about 0.1 miles away, and Legacy Trail is also within a tenth of a mile. For climbing, Rocky Glen Pond is about 5.8 miles off.
