Legacy Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in New York, set within the Town of Yorktown Parkland on city-managed land. The trail is an out-and-back of about 0.3 miles, with a total climb of 64 feet from a low point of 452 feet to a high of 493 feet. The grade is steady, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.09 miles in, with a 2% grade. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Shrub Oak show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 75°F, while July peaks near 84°F and January highs sit around 37°F. The trail sits close to several other routes. Parkway Trail and Woodlands Trail are each about 0.1 mile away, and Strang Trail is a short walk for hikers.
