W and P Trails is a short, easy mountain biking route in the Town of Yorktown Parkland, on city-managed land in New York. The trail is about 0.3 miles from Yorktown, and the whole out-and-back trip covers roughly 0.6 miles with a total climb of about 57 feet. The route is nearly flat, with the steepest stretch at about 4% grade near the start. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Shrub Oak show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 75°F, while July peaks near 84°F and January highs sit around 37°F. Several other trails lie within a short distance. Seminary Ridge Trail and Old Farm Trail are both about 0.3 miles away, and the W Trail and Blue Path are also within a third of a mile. For climbing, Rocky Glen Pond is about 4.8 miles off.
