Yellow Path is a short mountain biking route on Town of Yorktown land in New York, about a third of a mile from Yorktown. The trail is an out-and-back with a front-loaded climb, rising about 147 feet from the start at 494 feet to a high point of 559 feet before descending back, with the steepest stretch at about 8% grade near the beginning. It's rated expert, and the total climb is about 147 feet one way. For comfortable riding, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Shrub Oak run highs around 71°F in May and 75°F in September, while July and August average in the mid-80s. Several other trails sit just a tenth of a mile away, including Red Parth, Red Path and Snake Hill Trail. Climbers can head about 4.4 miles to Rocky Glen Pond.
