Taconic Bridge Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route on city-managed land in the Town of Yorktown Parkland, about 0.1 mile from the town of Yorktown. The trail is an out-and-back with a total length of about 0.2 miles and a total climb of just 7 feet, so it works well as a quick stop or a warm-up before heading to other trails in the area. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Shrub Oak show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 75°F, while July peaks near 84°F and January highs sit around 37°F. Several other trails start within about 0.1 mile, including the L Trail - Dynamite Run, the R Trail and the B Trail. Climbers can find Rocky Glen Pond and Blue Mountain Park about 5.6 miles away.
