Sis is a county-maintained mountain biking route on the County of Westchester land in New York, about 0.7 miles from the town of Pleasantside. The ride is a short, moderate out-and-back, covering about 0.76 miles with a total climb of 165 feet from a low point of 366 feet to a high of 434 feet. It is managed by county land, which also manages the Upper Sis mountain biking area just 0.1 miles away. The route is a compact climb, with the steepest stretch at about 0.29 miles in, where the grade reaches 5%. It's a quick addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding trails, with Ned's Left Lung and the Blue Mountain Summit Trail both within about a tenth of a mile. The most comfortable months for a ride are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Shrub Oak weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 75°F, with July peaking near 84°F. Nearby, the Upper Sis and Crossover mountain biking routes lie close by, and Blue Mountain Park offers climbing about 0.7 miles away. Paddlers can reach the Croton River about 5 miles off.
