Tumbleweed is an easy out-and-back hike in Graham Hills County Park, on county land in New York. The route is about 3.6 miles long, with a total climb of 794 feet and a high point of 603 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.55 miles in, with a grade of 12 percent. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 74°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. The Pink Trail and the Blue/White Connector Trail both start within a tenth of a mile, and the Blue Trail (Lot Spur) is about 0.3 miles away. Farther out, the Bronx River offers canoeing about 5 miles away.
