The Trail to Stony Kill Falls is a short, easy hike in Minnewaska State Park Preserve in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. The route is 0.55 miles long, with a low point of 1,133 feet and a high of 1,187 feet, so the climb is gentle, rising about 46 feet over the course of the walk. Late spring through early fall is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Mohonk Lake weather station show September highs around 73°F with lows near 56°F, while July runs warmer at about 83°F. The trail is a point-to-point route, and the park has several other hikes within a short drive. The Lower Awosting Carriageway and the Rainbow Falls Trail (Orange) are both about 1.3 miles away, and the Lake Awosting Carriageway is about 1.4 miles off. Climbers can find the Millbrook climbing area about 4.1 miles away.
