Swamp Loop is a short, easy loop hike in New York, about 1.3 miles from the town of Mount Kisco. The trail is 0.33 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 47 feet and a total loss of 85 feet, so it's a low-impact outing that works well as a quick stop or a warm-up before a longer walk. The route is a loop, and the climb is back-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.28 miles in. The highest point on the loop is 385 feet, and the lowest is 317 feet. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 74°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. White Oak Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and Leonard Park to Marsh Sanctuary Trail is about 1.8 miles off. Climbers can head to Tea Town Boulders, about 4 miles away, and paddlers will find the Croton River roughly 6.3 miles from the loop.
