Old Sib Trail is a 2-mile point-to-point hike in New York, about a mile from Twin Lakes Village. It rises from 753 feet to 912 feet, with a total gain of 211 feet, and the steepest stretch comes early, around 0.2 miles in, where the grade reaches about 11%. The trail is rated easy, and the trip takes about an hour. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Danbury, Connecticut, show July highs around 82°F with lows near 62°F, while September cools to highs in the mid-70s. That station sits about 455 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the trail run a little cooler. Several other trails start close by. Spruce Lake Trail is about 0.2 miles away, Orange Trail about 0.3 miles, and Hemlock Lake Trail about 0.4 miles. Mountain Lakes, a climbing area, is about half a mile off.
