Huckleberry Point Trail is a 2.6-mile out-and-back hike in New York, about a mile from the village of Platte Clove. It's an easy route that climbs roughly 850 feet from a starting point near 2,433 feet to a high point of 2,500 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 0.86 miles in from the start. The trail begins and ends close to the same elevation, making it a straightforward loop for a short outing. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station in Platte Clove run to a high of 80°F and a low of 55°F, and September stays mild with highs around 72°F. That station sits about 470 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. The hike takes about 1.5 hours to complete. Devil's Path and the Overlook Trail both lie about 1.6 miles away, and the Twilight Park Trail is about 1.8 miles off. For something different, the Catskills climbing area is about 3.5 miles from the trail.
