Godfrey Road Spur Trail is a short, easy hike in the Silver Lake Wilderness of New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. The trail is about 0.33 miles long, and the round trip is roughly 0.66 miles with a total elevation gain of about 84 feet. The climb is steady, and the steepest part comes at about 0.27 miles in, with a grade of about 5 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 77°F with lows near 56°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. Climbers will find Pinnacle Mountain about 2.8 miles away and Woods Lake Bouldering about 3.1 miles away. Hikers can also look to the Hope Center Trail, about 7 miles off, or the West Stoner Lake Trail, about 9 miles away.
