Blue Trail is a short, easy hike in Black Creek Forest Preserve in New York, managed by a non-governmental organization. The route is 0.59 miles long and rises about 130 feet from its low point of 1 foot to a high of 139 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.17 miles in, with a 15% grade. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Poughkeepsie show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 74°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. The Red Trail starts just 0.1 miles away, and the Yellow Trail is about 0.3 miles off. Within 2 miles you'll also find the Pond Land Trail and the Hyde Park Trail.
