The Magdalena Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in northern New Mexico holds a climbing area that sits right alongside several other named climbing spots. It lies within the district's boundaries, managed by the Forest Service, and is about 0.1 mile from the Full Moon Wall, Luna Park and The Northwest Passage. That makes it easy to link a few crags together in one outing. The climbing here is sport climbing and trad climbing, with 18 sport routes and 4 trad routes among the 22 routes listed. Grades run from 5.5 up to 5.11-, with the median at 5.9-. Sport routes include Slide Rule at 5.7 and Irreverend Moon at 5.11-, and the trad route Todaluna is at 5.9. These routes give climbers a range of options from lower to upper mid-range grades. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb. At the Winston weather station, about 17 miles away, typical averages run from highs around 71°F in October and April to about 89°F in June, with July and August bringing the most wet days.
