Villain Wall is a climbing area in New Mexico on Bureau of Land Management land within the Las Cruces District Office. It sits among several other named climbing areas, including Bat Cave and Trojan Wall (Right of Bat Cave), which are each about 0.1 mile away, and New Beginnings Wall, at about 0.1 mile as well. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb. Typical averages from the nearby Hillsboro weather station, which sits about 1,000 feet lower, run to highs around 75°F in April and October, while summer highs typically reach about 92°F and July and August bring the most wet days. The station sits lower than the wall, so temperatures here run cooler. The area has 10 routes, most of them sport climbs, with grades from 5.7 up to 5.10c/d. Among them are Catwoman's Claw at 5.7, The Joker at 5.10-, and Mystique, the hardest at 5.10c/d.
