Rincon Trail is a 1.5-mile hike in the Sandia Mountain Wilderness, part of the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is an out-and-back that climbs about 900 feet from a low point of 8,000 feet to a high of 8,900 feet over a total distance of about 3 miles. The trail is rated easy, and the route is short enough to fit into a day of exploring the surrounding area. The climb is steady rather than steep, and the high point sits just under 9,000 feet. Piedra Lisa North Trail starts about 0.1 mile away, and Tin Shed Trail is about half a mile off. Climbers can head to Shield, about 0.9 mile away, and Juan Tabo Canyon is about 1.2 miles away.
