Nxnw is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, about 1.2 miles long with an elevation gain of 89 feet. The trail runs on natural surface and is open year round, and the Forest Service manages the land. The route starts and ends at roughly 5,465 feet, with the high point at about 5,557 feet. It is a low-effort outing, and the climb is gentle enough to make it easy to pair with other trails in the area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Placitas show April and October highs around 71°F, while July and August average highs near 91°F with more wet days. The Bobsled and The Handle hikes both lie within a quarter mile, and Sunrise is about 0.2 miles away. Climbers can find Tunnel Springs about 3.9 miles off.
