Guaje Canyon Road is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Espanola Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in northern New Mexico. The route is about 0.6 miles long, with a one-way climb of about 64 feet from a low point of 7,119 feet to a high of 7,192 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Los Alamos weather station show May highs around 70°F and October highs around 63°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 13 to 14 a month. Several other trails start close by. Perimeter, Dot Grant Trail and Rendija are each about 0.2 miles away, and the Upper Rendija Trail is about 0.3 miles off. Climbers can find the Los Alamos & White Rock area about 0.3 miles away.
