Los Alamos & White Rock is a climbing area in northern New Mexico, within the Espanola Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits within the town cluster of Los Alamos and White Rock, with the town of Los Alamos about 3 miles away. The climate here is dry and mild in spring and fall, with typical averages from the nearby Los Alamos weather station showing highs around 70°F in May and 74°F in September. Summer brings the most rain, with 13 to 14 wet days in July and August, while winter highs stay around 40°F. Kerry's Boxes is the only route listed for this area, a sport climb rated 5.7. It's a single route, so plan around that in your climbing day. Several other climbing areas are close by, including Homestead Bridge about 1.4 miles away and School Canyon and Pueblo Canyon Areas, each about 1.5 miles off. For hiking, the Neblina's and Rendija trails start within a tenth of a mile.
